The Team

Jim Wright

Jim Wright, is a native Ohioan. He received his degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Akron. His professional experience has included a vast range of engineering opportunities. During college he was a supply driver for a mechanical contractor in Akron, and after graduating was promoted to estimator, where he was officially referred to as the “Head of Guessing”. He went on to work at Marr Knapp and Crawfis, where he assisted in the design of HVAC systems, and during which he passed the engineering’s professional Fundaments Exam. As a project coordinator for Cleveland’s Brewer Garrett Company, he worked closely with construction companies because of the firm’s design/build approach. In 2000, he relocated to Wayne County, where he worked at SeaLand Technology in Big Prairie as the organization’s manufacturing engineer. While there, not only was Jim responsible for focusing on manufacturing processes, but he also instituted long term facility management programs and significant OSHA and safety improvements. He took a hiatus from engineering in 2003 when he was presented with the opportunity to run his own business. Jim owned and operated his business until the county recently purchased the facility. Jim returns to engineering with the added advantage of looking at projects from the clients perspective, having been a business owner for more than a decade.
